Mets - Bobby Parnell served as the losing pitcher Sunday after surrendering three hits and the game-winning run over four outs. No Mets reliever has tallied a save since July 29, so it is hard to tell if Jason Isringhausen's pair of losses last week hurt him that much.
Rangers - Mike Adams notched the save Sunday against the Indians after Neftali Feliz had appeared in three consecutive games. Adams has now pitched 3.1 scoreless for his new club, and it looks like he is second-in-line for closing duties behind the oft-scary Feliz.

James Darnell, 3B, SDG - The Padres recalled Darnell to replace the injured Chase Headley on the active roster, and while Logan Forsythe started at third base against the Mets on Monday, Darnell should get the majority of playing time over the next four-to-six weeks. Darnell posted a 1.038 OPS in 288 at-bats at Double-A San Antonio prior to his promotion to Triple-A Tucson, where he hit six home runs in 26 contests. He struggled a bit against right-handed pitching at Tucson, but he presents a pretty big upgrade over Forsythe, who has struggled against righties and lefties.
