Closer Watch

Indians - Cody Allen got his second save of the season Friday night against the Royals with the Indians incumbent closer Chris Perez being unavailable. Vinnie Pestano had been getting the bulk of the save opportunities while Perez was recovering from an injury, but he has been struggling as of late so Allen was called into action. Perez does seem to be healthy so there shouldn't be many more chances for Allen to pick up saves.

Key Matchups

Jhoulys Chacin, P, COL - In the last 30 days Chacin has been one of the most dominant pitchers in all of Major League Baseball having picked up a league leading four wins, while also boasting an ERA of 1.78 with a 1.05 WHIP to boot. Chacin doesn't quite pick up the strikeouts to have been a viable option in every league, but there is no reason why any team that has been short of starting pitching shouldn't pick up the Rockies rightie who is available in more than half of all leagues.
