***BYE WEEKS ARE ALL DONE!***

Here are our rankings for the coming week at each position to help you decide your starting lineup. Our rankings are based on the following scoring system: three points for a passing touchdown; six points for a rushing/receiving touchdown; one point for every 20 passing yards; and one point for every 10 rushing/receiving yards. Flex Rankings are for PPR leagues.

This article will be posted on Tuesday evenings, followed by two updates later in the week, usually on Thursday and then Sunday morning. Players at the bottom of the rankings at each position are there because they either just had a significant injury, or are coming back from a long-term injury and haven't started practicing yet. I will adjust accordingly after practice news comes out.

By all means, if you want to discuss a rank, or want me to add a player, chime in on the comments. I try to be receptive to your feedback and try to respond to most comments, though on occasion the volume can be quite thick. Please refer to the rankings first when asking "should I start Player A vs. Player B?".

Thanksgiving Teams: Detroit, Green Bay, Dallas, Oakland, Baltimore and Pittsburgh

Sunday Update Complete

Quarterback

1.*Peyton Manning DEN at KC
Note: Averaged just 4.2 yards per attempt in the wind and cold in Foxboro on Sunday night. (Ankle) Sat out practice Wednesday.

5.Tony Romo DAL vs. Oak
6.Cam Newton CAR vs. TB

8.Eli Manning NYG at Was
9.*Josh McCown CHI at Min
Note: Getting the nod for another week, with Jay Cutler aiming to return for the Week 14 Monday night game.
10.*Matt Flynn GB at Det
Note: Led the second half comeback for the Packers, replacing Scott Tolzien. He took all the first-team reps Tuesday. Officially the starter for Thursday's game.
11.Andrew Luck IND vs. Ten
12.Alex Smith KC vs. Den
13.Ryan Fitzpatrick TEN at Ind
14.*Carson Palmer ARZ at Phi
Note: (Hand) Full practice Wednesday. *** Listed as probable. ***

16.Ben Roethlisberger PIT at Bal
17.Russell Wilson SEA vs. NO
18.Andy Dalton CIN at SD
19.EJ Manuel BUF vs. Atl
Note: Finally gets to work with his full cast of wide receivers.
20.Matt McGloin OAK at Dal
Note: Played well enough to get another start Thursday.
21.Christian Ponder MIN vs. Chi
22.Colin Kaepernick SF vs. StL
23.Robert Griffin WAS vs. NYG
Note: The combination of the Niners' pass rush and the lack of Jordan Reed exacerbated Griffin's shortcomings Monday night. We were too quick to proclaim RG3 all the way back.
24.Joe Flacco BAL vs. Pit
25.Matt Ryan ATL at Buf
26.Ryan Tannehill MIA at NYJ
27.Mike Glennon TB at Car
28.Chad Henne JAC at Cle
29.*Case Keenum HOU vs. NE

Note: Pulled in favor of Matt Flynn in the second half last week and it appears Flynn will start Thursday.
35.*Jason Campbell CLE vs. Jax
Note: (Ribs/Concussion) Not officially ruled out, but Weeden is expected to start. Did not practice Wednesday. While he's feeling better, he might not even suit up Sunday. *** Officially ruled out.***
36.Jay Cutler CHI at Min
37.*Aaron Rodgers GB at Det
Note: Threw in practice Tuesday, but has a 'slim-to-none' chance of starting Thursday. Officially ruled out.

Running Backs

1.*Adrian Peterson MIN vs. Chi
Note: The groin was a non-issue against the Packers, despite all the scary practice reports last week. That doesn't mean he's in the clear, but it's going to take a lot to downgrade him in the future. (Groin) Did not practice Wednesday.
2.*Marshawn Lynch SEA vs. NO
Note: *** (Knee) Listed as probable.***
3.LeSean McCoy PHI vs. Ari
4.Andre Brown NYG at Was
5.*Matt Forte CHI at Min

7.Chris Johnson TEN at Ind
8.Reggie Bush DET vs. GB
9.DeMarco Murray DAL vs. Oak
10.Alfred Morris WAS vs. NYG
11.*Knowshon Moreno DEN at KC
Note: Suffered a bruised ankle and is day-to-day. He was on crutches and in a walking boot after the game Sunday night. The injury was described as a bone bruise initially. Did not practice Wednesday. *** Full practice Friday, expected to start. ***
12.*Ryan Mathews SD vs. Cin
Note: Aggravated a right hamstring injury in the win over the Chiefs. Didn't practice Wednesday, even though coach Mike McCoy pronounced him as 'fine.' *** Full practice Friday, listed as probable. ***
13.*Zac Stacy STL at SF
Note: Suffered a concussion against the Bears, will have to pass the league's protocol tests later this week to be able to play. Didn't practice Wednesday. *** Returned to practice Thursday, listed as probable. ***
14.Maurice Jones-Drew JAC at Cle
15.*Frank Gore SF vs. StL
Note: (Ankle) Limited in Wednesday's practice. ***Listed as probable. ***
16.*Eddie Lacy GB at Det
Note: Bothered by symptoms caused by his asthma late in the win over the Vikings.
17.Fred Jackson BUF vs. Atl
18.*Rashad Jennings OAK at Dal
Note: With McFadden returning, how many carries will Jennings get Thursday? Also suffered a minor shoulder stinger Sunday.
19.Le'Veon Bell PIT at Bal
20.Giovani Bernard CIN at SD
21.Shane Vereen NE at Hou
22.*Donald Brown IND vs. Ten
Note: Had just two carries for -1 yards - how did the Colts give up on him so quickly after productive games the previous weeks? *** Officially will start ahead of Trent Richardson, for whatever that's worth. Still very difficult to trust him, but he did run well against the Titans just two weeks ago. ***
23.*Chris Ivory NYJ vs. Mia
Note: Suffered an ankle injury against the Ravens - could be a high ankle sprain, which would put Week 13 in jeopardy. Limited practice Wednesday, but 'looked good' in the portion that he participated in. ***Full practice Friday, listed as probable.***
24.Danny Woodhead SD vs. Cin
25.*C.J. Spiller BUF vs. Atl
Note: Ankle feels much better coming out of the bye.
26.*Pierre Thomas NO at Sea
Note: Current ranking is somewhat reliant on Sproles being limited.
27.Ben Tate HOU vs. NE
Note: Just one yard on seven carries last week before he mostly gave way to Dennis Johnson last week, but Tate will be back in the starting lineup again.
28.Bobby Rainey TB at Car
29.*Brandon Bolden NE at Hou
Note: Went from being inactive to carrying a team-high 13 times following fumbles by Ridley and Blount. *** Could be a good start if Ridley is deactivated, though even then I prefer Vereen.***
30.Rashard Mendenhall ARZ at Phi
Note: For all of my gnashing of teeth about the respective workloads of Ellington and Mendenhall, Mendenhall actually played well last week.
31.Steven Jackson ATL at Buf
32.*Lamar Miller MIA at NYJ
Note: Should start and get more carries with Daniel Thomas out, but knowing the Dolphins, they'll instead find a way to make Miller irrelevant. And no, I'm not jaded at all.
33.Ray Rice BAL vs. Pit
34.*Toby Gerhart MIN vs. Chi
Note: Eight carries for 91 yards last week - the Vikes have said that they'll make a concerted effort to get Gerhart a similar workload going forward, and this matchup against the Bears is juicy.
35.*Darren Sproles NO at Sea
Note: *** (Ankle) Probable for Monday night. ***
36.*Chris Ogbonnaya CLE vs. Jax
Note: Had just four carries after losing a fumble for the second consecutive week.
37.Joique Bell DET vs. GB
38.Dennis Johnson HOU vs. NE
Note: Back to the bench this week despite outpacing Ben Tate last week. Reps still reliant on his ability to protect the qarterback.
39.*Jonathan Stewart CAR vs. TB
Note: (Ankle) Didn't practice Wednesday. *** Small bump up with DeAngelo Williams looking shaky. ***
40.*Benny Cunningham STL at SF
Note: Ran for over 100 yards against the Bears after Zac Stacy's concussion.
41.Andre Ellington ARZ at Phi
Note: 32 snaps to 30 for Mendenhall, 12 touches vs. 14 for Mendenhall. Just because we want to will a guy into a bigger role doesn't make it so - and I know I'm guilty of that at times. *** Injured his knee in practice, though it looks like he'll play. ***
42.*C.J. Anderson DEN at KC
Note: Had key carries in overtime last week after Moreno got hurt and Montee Ball had fumbled. Because Anderson was getting the OT carries last week, I guessed that he would be next in line to start if Moreno can't go. I don't know if that's the case now - waiting to hear more from the Broncos.
43.BenJarvus Green-Ellis CIN at SD
44.*Montee Ball DEN at KC
Note: Lost a fumble in the loss to the Pats on Sunday night.
45.*Bilal Powell NYJ vs. Mia
Note: Back from the Witness Protection Program following Chris Ivory's ankle injury.
46.Mark Ingram NO at Sea
47.*Darren McFadden OAK at Dal
Note: (Hamstring) Practiced Tuesday, will play Thursday against Dallas, but how much will he split the duties with Rashad Jennings? Officially listed as questionable, but expected to play in a backup role.
48.Kendall Hunter SF vs. StL
49.Brian Leonard TB at Car
50.*Mike Tolbert CAR vs. TB
Note: Suffered a minor injury on his final run Sunday. (Knee) Didn't practice Wednesday, 'hopeful' that he can play Sunday. *** Expected to play, could be limited. ***

55.Bernard Pierce BAL vs. Pit
56.Roy Helu WAS vs. NYG
57.Marcel Reece OAK at Dal
58.*LeGarrette Blount NE at Hou

59.*Trent Richardson IND vs. Ten
Note: *** Officially second string to Donald Brown. ***
60.James Starks GB at Det
61.Willis McGahee CLE vs. Jax
62.Jacquizz Rodgers ATL at Buf
63.*Stevan Ridley NE at Hou
Note: Buried in the first quarter after yet another fumble. ***According to Adam Schefter, Ridley might not even be active.***
64.Felix Jones PIT at Bal
65.*Ronnie Hillman DEN at KC
Note: ***Could be active this week with Moreno playing hurt.***
66.Knile Davis KC vs. Den
67.*Mike Gillislee MIA at NYJ
Note: Next in line behind Miller, though the gap between him and Thigpen isn't great. Some reports suggest that Thigpen is ahead of Gillislee.
68.Jordan Todman JAC at Cle
69.Michael Bush CHI at Min
70.*Isaiah Pead STL at SF
Note: Would be the backup behind Cunningham if Stacy can't go.
71.*Ronnie Brown SD vs. Cin
Note: Was active late thanks to Mathews' hamstring injury.
72.Denard Robinson JAC at Cle
73.*DeAngelo Williams CAR vs. TB

78.Rashard Mendenhall ARZ at Phi
Note: For all of my gnashing of teeth about the respective workloads of Ellington and Mendenhall, Mendenhall actually played well last week.
79.Steven Jackson ATL at Buf
81.*Toby Gerhart MIN vs. Chi
Note: Eight carries for 91 yards last week - the Vikes have said that they'll make a concerted effort to get Gerhart a similar workload going forward, and this matchup against the Bears is juicy.

83.Ace Sanders JAC at Cle

95.Jordan Cameron CLE vs. Jax
96.Anthony Fasano KC vs. Den
Note: Touchdowns in back-to-back weeks.

Note: Could he be the next Gates? Ten targets the last two games, and the Bengals struggle against good TEs.
98.John Carlson MIN vs. Chi
99.*Heath Miller PIT at Bal

112.Brian Hartline MIA at NYJ
113.*Donald Brown IND vs. Ten
Note: Had just two carries for -1 yards - how did the Colts give up on him so quickly after productive games the previous weeks? *** Officially will start ahead of Trent Richardson, for whatever that's worth. Still very difficult to trust him, but he did run well against the Titans just two weeks ago. ***
114.*Chris Ogbonnaya CLE vs. Jax
Note: Had just four carries after losing a fumble for the second consecutive week.
115.Joique Bell DET vs. GB
116.BenJarvus Green-Ellis CIN at SD
117.Dennis Johnson HOU vs. NE
Note: Back to the bench this week despite outpacing Ben Tate last week. Reps still reliant on his ability to protect the qarterback.
118.*Bilal Powell NYJ vs. Mia
Note: Back from the Witness Protection Program following Chris Ivory's ankle injury.
119.*Stevan Ridley NE at Hou
Note: Buried in the first quarter after yet another fumble. ***According to Adam Schefter, Ridley might not even be active.***
120.*Brandon Bolden NE at Hou
Note: Went from being inactive to carrying a team-high 13 times following fumbles by Ridley and Blount. *** Could be a good start if Ridley is deactivated, though even then I prefer Vereen.***
