Today is like Christmas for NFL teams. Some teams will have their stockings stuffed with gifts, and some with coal. Until today, I have undertook the impossible practice of predicting the picks without trades. Today, I make an even more ridiculous prediction by trying to predict the trades that will happen in tonight's first round of the NFL Draft. Enjoy the craziness that follows. It'll make tonight seem rather tame. The Green means a team traded up to that spot, the pale red means the team traded down. All in all there were five trades predicted.

The Broncos have hired former Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels as their next head coach. The contract is for four years and worth roughly $2 million per season. McDaniels becomes the youngest head coach in the NFL, replacing the 56-year old Mike Shanahan.
While it is still unknown how he will be as a head coach, since this is his first job in that spot, Broncos fans will probably not have the running back mysteries that Shanahan provided throughout his tenure in Denver, which is also a positive for fantasy owners.

The Broncos fired head coach Mike Shanahan on Tuesday, a shock for most people throughout the league. Shanahan had been with the organization for 21 years, but his .500 record over the past three seasons wasn't enough to keep his job. While many big time head coaches are available, such as Bill Cowher and Marty Schottenheimer, it will be interesting to see what direction the Broncos go.
From a fantasy standpoint, Shanahan's running back mysteries will most likely continue elsewhere next season.
