Now that women are allowed to enter the Men's British Open, Van de Velde of France wants to enter the Women's British Open and intends to write an application form.

Van de Velde lost the French Open to Jean-Francois Remesy on Sunday after triple-bogeying the first hole of a playoff even though Remsey had a made double-bogey.
