Tryon won his first professional tournament last weekend, winning by three strokes in Florida on the Hooters Tour, the Toronto Star reports.

Tyron is taking a positive outlook on his demotion to play in the Nationwide Tour next season. "The big advantage is that it will give me some space to grow up and learn my golf game," he told the London Herald.

Tryon shot a 2-under 70 to make the cut at the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro. However, he'll need to finish first or second at this week's Disney Classic to keep his tour card, the Greensboro News & Record reports.

Tryon shot a -12 in the opening round of The International on Thursday.

Tryon shot 147 through two rounds of the Buick Classic and missed the cut.
