Nick Thompson

31-Year-Old Golfer

2013-14 Fantasy Golf Outlook

Thompson lacked the high-end finishes in 2013, but he played at a decent slip so often that all his top-25s, seven in all, added up to a pretty good year. Grinders are good for the U.S. Open, but you don't necessarily want them on your fantasy team. As such, Thompson is not worth the price in salary cap leagues, but he's got some value in draft formats, probably in the 90-100 range.

RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2013-14

Grinders are good for the U.S. Open, but you don't necessarily want them on your fantasy team. As such, Thompson is not worth the price in salary cap leagues, but he's got some value in draft formats, probably in the 90-100 range.

2010

Hard to explain the drop off for Thompson last year. He earned more than $1.8 million in 2008 without benefit of a victory, and the following season, he's fighting for his card. The upside is obviously here, and the risk is minimal.

2009

Thompson improved in his second go around on the PGA Tour, carding six top-10s including five in the top-six. It appears as though he learned a few things while on the Nationwide Tour and should be here to stay.
