Look waaaaaay down the depth chart and you'll find Boumedienne, who'll likely toil at the Ricoh Centre this year instead of the Air Canada. No value here.
Boumedienne arrives back in North America after spending three years overseas. He's been touted as a puck-moving, offensive defenseman in the past, but is up against two obstacles: (1) he has only tallied 16 points in 47 career NHL games, and (2) the Capitals have four defensemen including Boumedienne who are competing for the last spot on the blue line. Don't pick him up in your drafts, but if he manages to snag a regular spot on the blue line, keep tabs on his production.
Boumedienne has a signed a deal to play in Sweden, though it contains an out clause that would let him return to the NHL mid-season.
