After missing the Jets' most recent game for personal reasons, Jones is considered a game-time decision for Saturday's home contest versus Tampa Bay, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Even if Jones were a lock to participate in this one, his body of work does not suggest that his performance would be a fantasy-friendly one.

Jones notched just one goal and 12 assists for 13 points and a minus-4 rating with the Tampa Bay Lightning last year. Though he showed flashes of consistent offense with the Philadelphia Flyers in his early days, Jones is now a fifth or sixth defenseman at best and cannot be counted on for consistent fantasy production.
Jones is coming off a neck injury that limited him to just 48 games with L.A. last season. But he showed some offensive skill in those matches and has a chance to be in the Lightning's top four. And with that, there's an outside chance of him earning power-play time. He has the potential to be a 35-point defender and that makes him a deep sleeper.
Jones is penciled in as a top-six blueliner to start the year but could be pushed out by many a young defender in the Flyers' organization. Jones has a $2.75 million cap hit and that could work against him or for him depening on how close the team gets to the cap during the season. Jones has had some injury problems lately, the latest being a lingering hip injury but regradless, he should be on the prowl to start the year in order to keep his job.
Jones improved on all his statistics across the board in his second significant season with the Flyers. His numbers (5 G, 28 A) were modest at best in terms of fantasy production. He did see some power play time though, which is encouraging. His role should continue to increase with fellow defenseman Ryan Parent sidelined for at least three months with a shoulder injury. Jones won’t be on too many fantasy radars heading into the season, but should log at least 20 minutes of playing time each night and could easily top the 40 point mark if he stays healthy.
Jones had a respectable four goals and 22 points through 66 games with a minus-14 rating. He is only worth a look if you're playing in a deep Fantasy league.
If Jones make the Flyers, he will be their 6th or 7th defensemen. There is no chance he will have a fantasy impact.
