Past Fantasy Outlooks
Reich is scrappy player, who will give the B's some forward depth in his second stint with the team. He can serve as a mentor at AHL Providence and can fill in on the B's fourth line in a pinch.
Reich can rack up PIMs, but he won't be utilized by the Islanders on a nightly basis. He will be one of the players the team calls up from Bridgeport when they want some extra toughness in the lineup when they take on certain teams.
Given his lack of scoring, Reich's only chance of helping fantasy owners is racking up PIMs. To that end, he has 161 in 99 career NHL games, which is not quite enough to make him an elite fantasy tough guy.
Reich managed to see 32 games with the Bruins last season, and recorded a single assist along with 63 PIMs. Look for similar numbers this year if he makes the team.
He's destined to be in the minor pros for his playing career as the new NHL is ill-suited to his fistful game.
