After several limited stints with San Jose, the Islanders and New Jersey, Davison has plied his trade in Europe the last two seasons, playing in both Austria and the Czech Republic.
Davison has not played in an NHL game since the 2009-10 season, when he appeared in one contest for the Devils. In all likelihood, the defenseman is AHL-bound for the upcoming campaign.
Signed in the offseason, Davison will be a depth defenseman for the Canucks and will spend many nights not suiting up.
You will hear Davison’s name no more than 100 times this year. As his name will be read off as a scratch for just about every game. Davison registered two points, both assists, in 22 games. Don’t expect much fantasy production out of Davison.
He's good enough for the Sharks to use, but merely as a fifth or sixth defensemen, and Davison's got almost nothing on the offensive end. Heads up if you see him on the street - he'd flatten his grandmother if she put her head down at center ice.
Tall, physical defenseman who is seen as a possible top six guy in his own end. He hasn't grown much in the offensive end, though, and that makes him undraftable in most formats.
