Head Coach Ron Wilson is doubtful that Reitz (foot) will make a return by the end of the season, Globe and Mail reports.

ANALYSIS
Reitz has been out of the lineup since February 25 and has yet to play a game with his new team since being claimed off waivers by Toronto at the trade deadline.

Reitz appeared in two games during the Wild's first-round loss to Colorado, and will enter this season as a contender to secure a spot on the Minnesota roster. He's also been a recipient of praise from Wild head coach Jacques Lemaire, which bodes well for his chances of seeing the ice. He could be a source of offense on the Minnesota blue line.

Reitz posted just 34 points in 72 games for Houston (AHL). At this point he looks like little more than a 4-5-6 backliner with limited fantasy potential.

Reitz could eventulaly emerge with a full-time job with the Wild. A late-round draft pick in 2000, he has been given five years to develop. Reitz will earn a few fantasy points throughout the year, but not enough to be on anyone's roster, other than some penalty minutes.
