RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Teemu Hartikainen.
Hartikainen has had a cup of coffee with the Oilers a few of times over the past couple of seasons and will likely do so again this year. Then again, he could be in the mix for a spot on the team with a strong camp, but is likely ticketed for the AHL. The good news is that his skating, which at one time was considered to be well below average, has improved dramatically.
Hartikainen has impressed the Oilers with his play and will be in camp with the team trying to earn a roster spot. Last season, the winger had three goals in 12 games for the Oilers and 17 goals in 66 games for Oklahoma City of the AHL. At 6-foot, 215-pounds, he gives the Oilers some size which the Oilers feel they are lacking and should give him an edge once roster cuts come about.
