Hossa was traded to the Coyotes on Tuesday, TSN.ca reports. The Rangers sent Hossa and minor league goaltender Al Montoya to Phoenix for right wing Fredrik Sjostrom and a pair of minor leaguers - goaltender David LeNeveu and left wing Josh Gratton.

ANALYSIS
Hossa never lived up to the hype on Broadway, but in an environment with much less scrutiny, he could surprise and become a viable contributor for the Yotes.

One word to describe Hossa -- enigmatic. He has all the tools, the ability. But for whatever reason, has not put it together on the ice. He should be as good as his brother Marian, who is a major star in this league -- so it appears this next season is the absolute pivotal season for Hossa. Either he'll progress, or he'll just end up playing hockey somewhere else.

Marcel Hossa has disappointed for a couple of seasons now. This is definitely his last chance to stick with the Canadiens. Hossa does not have the speed to get by defenders, nor does he have the toughness to go into the corners. Don’t expect much out of this skilled Slovak this season.
