Kaigorodov has spent the last five seasons in the KHL, though his NHL rights still belong to Phoenix. Don't expect to see him in the United States anytime soon.
Kaigorodov has spent the last three seasons with the Magnitogorsk Metallurg of the KHL. In 2010-11, he tallied 10 goals and 29 assists to go with a plus-25 rating through 53 games.
Kaigorodov will again play in Russia in 2009-2010, against Phoenix's wishes. Because of this, Phoenix has suspended the Russian center indefinitely, and he'll play in Russia until Phoenix either trades his rights away, or just cut ties with him altogether.
The 23-year old has a shot at becoming the Senators' number two center if he has a strong preseason camp. If he does become the number two center, his fantasy value increases tremendously. If not, he'll most likely begin the 2006-07 season down on the Senators' AHL farm team in Binghamton.
