RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Peter Olvecky.
In March, Olvecky was loaned to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL by the Milwaukee Admirals, Nashville's farm team affiliate. In return, the Admirals received Moose veteran Marty Murray, on loan. It's hard to picture Olvecky back in the NHL anytime soon.
Olvecky will enter Minnesota camp as a contender for the fourth line center spot. He had 33 points in 61 games in the AHL last season. He won't likely be an impact player for the Wild or your team for a few more seasons.
Olvecky still needs some time in the minors to sharpen his skills and will spend this season in the AHL.
Olvecky, 19, scored 10 goals among 19 points in 45 games last season with Dukla Trencin, Marian Gaborik's hometown team. Minnesota's 2004 third-round draft pick will likely need another year of development before skating with the Wild.
