The Bruins have waived Robins for the purpose of assigning him to AHL Providence, the team's official site reports.

ANALYSIS
Assuming Robins clears waivers, he'll return to Providence, where he saw action in 68 AHL games last season, amassing 221 PIM and 14 points. In three games this season, including his NHL debut, the 32-year-old forward recorded 14 penalty minutes.

Set to turn 33 in October, if Robins gets called up by the Bruins this coming season, it will be due to his toughness. With the team's AHL affiliate in Providence last season, the veteran forward recorded 14 points in 68 games, while racking up a team-high 221 PIM.

Robins racked up 11 points and a league-high 316 PIMs for AHL Providence this past season. He'll continue to provide Providence with toughness this coming campaign, but a recall to the Bruins would probably require a couple of breaks in the tough guy’s favor.

Robins will begin the 2006-07 season on the Senators' AHL farm team in Binghamton. He will most likely remain there the entire season and, therefore, does not have any fantasy value.
