The Avalanche signed Talbot to a one-year deal on Friday, according to the Denver Post.

Talbot, 25, was acquired from St. Louis last month. He spent the past three seasons with the Blues’ AHL affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen, where he collected 32 points (17G, 15A) in 76 games in 2009-10. He is expected to open next season with AHL Lake Erie.
