RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Greg Nemisz.
Nemisz is part of a host of youngsters that got a short shot with the Flames last season. He had 25 points in 41 games with Abbotsford in 2012-13 and will be one of the players Calgary is examining this fall to make the team. His clock is ticking, though -- there are other younger guys nipping at his heels and he needs to step up or risk being left behind.
Nemisz spent a little time with the Flames in 2011-12, scoring no points in nine games. He has an outside shot at making the big-league club in the fall, as his 62 points in 119 AHL games isn't bad, but he will likely spend the majority of the year in Abbotsford.
Nemisz attended his first NHL camp this preseason for the Calgary Flames. He was sent back to his junior team in Windsor (OHL) and is still a few years away from being on the fantasy radar. He projects to be a power forward with a great scoring touch so definitely keep an eye on him in keeper leagues.
Nemisz had a great year in the OHL in 2007-08, scoring 67 points in 68 games for the Windsor Spitfires. He is a power forward with potential, but likely needs one more year of seasoning before he sees the NHL.
