Gendur was traded to Nashville on Tuesday as part of the Shane O'Brien deal, the Vancouver Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Nashville has less talent on the front line than Vancouver, so there is a chance this move could speed up Gendur's timetable to the NHL. That said, the 22-year-old has just 10 appearances at the AHL level, so he'll probably spend most or all of the 2010-11 with Nashville's affiliate in Milwaukee.

Gendur split time between Victoria and Johnstown of the ECHL in 2009-10, compiling 12 points (2 G, 10 A) in 29 games. The speedy winger hasn’t been able to carryover the stellar production he showed at the WHL level in 2008-09 and doesn’t appear any closer to cracking the Canucks’ roster.
The 22-year-old winger broke out as a quality prospect in 2007-08 with Everett of the WHL, totaling 29 goals and 55 assists in 60 games. The solid performance with the Silvertips earned him a spot on Victoria of the ECHL last year, and he managed to total 38 points in 52 games. Gendur still needs some seasoning at the AHl level, but he could play forward for the Canucks in a couple years.
Gendur was a long shot to receive a contract from the Canucks, but the 21-year-old had a solid training camp and will battle for a roster spot with Manitoba.
