Lindgren didn't play that much or that well in his NHL debut on Monday, and Steve Ott's return on Wednesday alleviated Dallas' need for an additional center.

Lindgren seems content to play over in his native Finland, spending his second full year there after a brief time struggling with the North American style back in 2009-10. The Stars still hold his rights should he express an interest in returning, but the odds of him every coming back for another shot at the NHL seem remote.

Lindgren returned to his native Finland after a year spent in the AHL, making the second time he's returned to play back home after a year spent in North America. He was dominant at times (23-44-66 in 56 games), but there's no telling if he'll ever feel comfortable enough with the North American game to make an impact in the NHL.

Lindgren has elected to return to Finland for the 2010-11 season.
