The 22-year-old Engren, a seventh-round pick in 2008, helped TPS Turku to the Finnish Elite League title last season. Engren will likely get a look during the Preds' training camp in September, but is not expected to make the jump to the NHL right away. Longer term, he could succeed Pekka Rinne as the Preds' goalie of the future.
