RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2013-14

There was no outlook written for Tyler Brenner.

2012-13

Brenner's first year as a pro was a disappointment -- he struggled to find his scoring touch and ended up in limbo between the AHL and ECHL. He needs to pump up the volume this year to earn another pro contract.

2011-12

Brenner is yet another of Brian Burkeís free agent finds. Heís a smooth-skating, offensive-minded player who has plied his trade at both forward and defense who was signed last March out of Rochesterís Institute of Technology. Heís a good all-round player but remember, there are reasons guys go undrafted over and over again. His best year in college by far was his last -- 26 goals and 15 assists for 41 points in 37 games. Heíll play in the AHL but heíll need to impress quickly or heíll end up as a career minor leaguer.
