The Caps recalled Sjogren on Tuesday, CSN's Rob Carlin reports.
ANALYSIS
Sjogren previously had been playing in Sweden, so this is an unusual recall. He had just nine points in 28 games in Sweden this year, and just five points in 19 AHL appearances, so it's difficult to envision him making much of an impact.

This player will have no fantasy value in 2013-14 and can be ignored in all formats.
Sjogren is making the transition from Europe to the North American rink and will be battling for a job on one of the bottom lines in camp. He is more comfortable as a center, but reportedly can play wing as well. He joins fellow Swedes Nicklas Backstrom and Marcus Johansson, and has impressed at development camp thus far. More will be known when he starts skating with the big boys at training camp.
