The Canucks assigned Honzik to Victoriaville of the QMJHL on Tuesday, the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
No surprise here, as the 18-year-old netminder could certainly use more seasoning in the junior leagues before getting a look with the Canucks' AHL affiliate. The Canucks selected Honzik in the second round of the 2011 Entry Draft, so the team is obviously high on him, but it'll be a few years before he starts registering on fantasy radars.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2011
Honzik was selected by the Canucks in the second round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. The 19-year-old Czech spent last season with Victoriaville of the QMJHL, finishing 22-14-2 with a 3.49 goals-against average and .885 save percentage. The big (6-3, 194) butterfly-style netminder is currently fourth in line among the Canucks’ goaltending prospects, but he has enough potential to move up those rankings if he starts showing improvements in the Juniors and Minors. He remains a long-term project.
Honzik was selected by the Canucks in the second round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. The 18-year-old netminder struggled during his first season in the QMJHL, posting a 3.54 goals-against average and .884 save percentage in 36 appearances with Victoriaville. He's a long-term project, so don't expect him to show up on fantasy radars for a few seasons.
