Matt Watkins

Watkins is a depth forward that the Islanders will keep at Bridgeport. He recorded 36 points in 70 games with Portland, the AHL affiliate of Phoenix, last season.

Watkins skated in 64 games with AHL San Antonio in 2010-11, tallying 15 goals and 20 assists to go with a minus-10 rating. He has yet to stick on an NHL roster since being drafted by the Stars in 2005 and will likely spend 2011-12 in the AHL, unless the Coyotes find themselves in need of forward depth.
