RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2014-15

There was no outlook written for Troy Rutkowski.

2013-14

Rutkowski has played for the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL for the past five seasons. His 2012-13 numbers were an impressive 20 goals and 46 assists in 72 games and, if his offensive success translates to the pro game in 2013-14, it probably won't be long until we see him in a Senator's uniform. That being said, Ottawa already has a couple of good, young offensive defensemen in Erik Karlsson and Patrick Wiercioch, so there is no reason for the team to rush Rutkowski's development. He's worth keeping tabs on for the future, but this season will probably be limited to the AHL.
