Cornet fits the definition of a grinder, the kind of player who will fight for the puck behind the net and along the boards, but in the end, doesn't possess enough scoring talent to make a significant impact at the NHL level. He did pick up an assist in two games with the Oil last season, but spent the bulk of his year in Oklahoma (AHL). He'll be with the Barons to start 2012-13.
