LWBuffalo Sabres  Free Agent
March 2, 2015
Nevins was traded to the Sabres on Monday along with a 2016 seventh-round draft pick in exchange for forward Torrey Mitchell, LNH.com's Arpon Basu reports.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell was bound for free agency after the season and thus an expendable piece for the Sabres, who were content to collect minor assets for him in return. With no points in 35 games with AHL Hamilton this season, Nevins profiles exclusively as a fourth liner, should he ever reach the NHL. Despite the lack of scoring, he's shown a little bit of a sandpaper game, accruing 88 PIM. Look for him to report to the Sabres' AHL affiliate in Rochester.

2015 Fantasy Outlook
Acquired from Montreal, Nevins has yet to score a goal at the professional level. In 45 AHL games last season, he failed to register a single point, but did collect 98 penalty minutes. Nevins will play a bottom-six role for AHL Rochester this season if he can secure a regular spot in the lineup, and will have to find a way to contribute if he can't score, since he's not big enough to play an enforcer's role.
