Soshnikov would like to play in the NHL next season, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.
ANALYSIS
Soshnikov has played in 87 NHL games, but his last appearance came in November of 2018. The 28-year-old winger has been playing in his native Russia since and is currently with Avangard Omsk of the KHL. Soshnikov would likely occupy a bottom-six role if picked up by a stateside team next season.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2018
2017
Soshnikov was involved in one of the less flashy trades last February, coming to St. Louis after playing only three games in Toronto. Despite being 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, Soshnikov isn't afraid to get his nose dirty, posting 24 hits in 15 games while averaging 11:10 of ice time. The 24-year-old should see an uptick from his 2017-18 offensive stats if he can secure a full-time position on the fourth line, but it won't be enough to vault him into fantasy stardom since chances for a top-nine role are slim-to-none.
