Marsh will not receive a contract from the Red Wings, therefore, the seventh-round pick from 2015 will re-enter the draft,
MLive.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's not all that surprising to see such a late pick be left without a deal, but Marsh still holds promise as he registered 23 points (nine goals, 14 assists) in 27 games for the Charlottetown Islanders of the QMJHL, not including four goals and three helpers over nine playoff contests this season. The Chicago native will hope for a higher draft selection in his home city between June 23-24.
