Sandis Ozolinsh

When you look at the statistics from 2003-04 (5/11/16 in 36 games), everything points to Ozolinsh being on the downward swing of his career. Wrong. Chalk up that season as a lost cause, as Ozolinsh missed more than three months with a shoulder injury. The seven-time All-Star is still one of the best puck-moving defensemen in the game, and he'll show those skills to a greater degree this year in the Ducks' aggressive style, combined with the new rules. Entering his 13th season, Ozo should be able to get back to a 40-50 point season – possibly 55 if he can again be a force on the power play.
