Johan Santana v Houston – The Astros are typically a cushy fantasy matchup for pitchers, but Tuesday's matchup figures to be extra sweet with Johan Santana on the mound. The only Astro to have a modicum of historical success against Santana has been Carlos Lee (1.042 OPS), and he has had a historically bad season in 2010. Santana has yet to face the 'Stros in 2010, but their current group of batters has a measley .207 collective batting average over 150 at-bats and a .250 OBP in 161 plate appearances.

John Danks v Minnesota – The White Sox need a big start out of Danks Tuesday to remain competitive for the AL Central crown, and chances are he won't deliver. Michael Cuddyer (five home runs), Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau have three of the best track records against Danks in all of baseball, and two of those three will be in the Twins' lineup Tuesday. He has gone 2-1 in his four starts against them this year, but he posted a 6.23 ERA and a 8:5 K:BB in his two starts at Target Field, which will be the site of Tuesday's contest.

Recommended Pickup

Eric Young, 2B, COL - When the Rockies recalled Young from Triple-A Colorado Springs Saturday to replace Jeff Francis, it was largely assumed that Young's stay would end when the Rockies addressed their rotation needs Tuesday. But Young provided enough energy from the leadoff spot Saturday and Sunday that the Denver Post reports that the team is now leaning toward keeping Young around and hosting him in the lineup's top spot for the long haul. Should he stay, Young would probably start regularly at second over Clint Barmes (assuming the Rockies don't create an injury that forces Barmes to the DL) as well as getting a start or two in the outfield. Young already has six stolen base attempts in 41 major-league at-bats, and was successful in all 10 of his attempts at Colorado Springs. Depending on your league depth and format, you might want to put off your add until the Rockies decide they will keep him around, but he has the ability to post double-digit steals the rest of the way out.
