Jim Slater (F) Atlanta - (wrist) There is still no word on how long Slater will be out of action, but he will return at some point during the season.
Patrice Cormier (F) Atlanta - (broken foot) Out indefinitely with no timetable set for return as of yet. Just another turn in the already tumultuous career Cormier is putting together.
David Koci (F) Colorado - (broken jaw) Is still at least a few weeks away from returning to game action, but has been seen partaking in practice with a shield covering his broken jaw.
Peter Mueller (F) Colorado - (concussion) No timetable has been set for Mueller's return, which is bad news for many fantasy owners. If you have an IR spot on your roster, set him there for a while and consider picking up a replacement. If not, it should still be worth hanging onto him as he should be effective this season if he can shake off the post-concussion cobwebs.
Andrew Kozek (F) Atlanta - (hernia surgery) Timeline for hernia surgery recovery has not been fully set, but Kozek is expected to be returned to the minors once he is cleared to play so his fantasy value is obsolete at this point.
Matt Greene (D) Los Angeles - (shoulder surgery) Greene is still slowly recovering from shoulder surgery and there is no word on how long he will be out.
Scott Parse (F) Los Angeles - (groin) Has not returned to the ice since injuring his groin in the first pre-season game of the season.
Ray Kaunisto (F) Los Angeles - (foot) Is still holding down a spot on injured reserve, but there is word he will be sent down to Manchester when he is cleared to continue playing.

Transactions

Andreas Lilja (D) Anaheim-Signed to a one-year contract.
Drew MacIntyre (G) Atlanta-Reassigned to Chicago Wolves of the AHL.
Peter Mannino (G) Atlanta-Recalled from Chicago Wolves on the AHL.
Tommy Wingels (F) San Jose-Assigned to Worcester of the AHL.

Hot

John-Michael Liles (D) Colorado - Has 4 assists in just 2 games so far on the season and appears to be out of the coach's doghouse and ready to handle prime time minutes both in even strength situations and on the power-play this season.
Todd Bertuzzi (F) Detroit - Already has three points on the season, and is looking to log more ice time and flourish now that expectations are almost non-existent in terms of his fantasy value and abilities.

Recommended Pickup

Ben Eager (F) Atlanta Thrashers - All eyes were on promising youngsters such as Evander Kane, Niklas Bergfors, and Alexander Burmistrov heading into the 2010-2011 season, but so far it has been offseason acquisition Eager that has stepped up. He picked up a goal and an assist against the Tampa Bay Lightning and seems determined to create space and lead this young and upcoming team.
