Recommended Pickup

James Loney, 1B, LAD – Loney's unimpressive line can be attributed to a weak April in which he hit .208 with a .478 OPS. While he clearly is lacking power (four HR this season), Loney has delivered a .325 average in May and June and his OPS for those two months sits in the .800 range. There are better first basemen out there, but Loney has reasonable value and 15 home run upside.

Other recent recommendations:Wily Mo Pena, Carlos Carrasco, Alexi Casilla, Jeff Keppinger, Mike Adams
