Closer Watch
Twins: Matt Capps was officially placed on the DL on Monday with inflamation in his right shoulder. Both he and the Twins had been making it sound like he would not be out long, but this DL stint should keep him out for at least a couple of weeks. In his place, Glen Perkins will likely get most of the save opportunities for Minnesota.

Reds: Aroldis Chapman blew another save on Sunday, giving up a one run lead after allowing a two run home-run to Josh Willingham. After beginning the year with zero earned runs in his first 24 outings, Chapman has just two scoreless appearances in seven games. He has a 11.37 ERA over that seven game stretch, with an opponents OPS of 1.173. On the bright side, Chapman has still been striking out a ton of hitters.

Recommended Pickup
Trevor Bauer, P, ARI: Anytime a top-10 MLB prospect is called up to the majors, it's a good idea to try and get them on your roster as soon as possible. Players are rated that highly for a reason and, while there are plenty of busts every year, it's worth the risk when you consider the reward you might reap. Trevor Bauer could provide a very large reward after being called up to start for Arizona on Tuesday. After being the third overall pick in the 2011 draft by the Diamondbacks, he was ranked as the ninth best prospect in the MLB by Baseball-America before the 2012 season.

Bauer has been fast-tracked through the minors leagues, reaching Double-A last year after being drafted, and making eight starts in both Double-A and Triple-A this season. He was fantastic in those sixteen total starts, too. Bauer has a 2.23 season ERA with 116 strikeouts in 93 innings for an 11.2 K/9IP. A word of warning: Bauer has had walk issues in the minors, with a 4.6 BB/9IP over his career thus far. However, the strikeouts and great potential make Bauer much too interesting to pass up.

Other Recent Recommendations: Norichika Aoki, Andrelton Simmons, Salvador Perez, Pedro Alvarez, Brandon Belt
