Recommended Pickup
Casper Wells, OF, SEA: With Monday's shocking trade of Ichiro Suzuki to the Yankees, a spot in the Mariners outfield just opened up. Wells is the player rumored to be benefiting most from this, as he should slot into that outfield spot more days than not. For those who have still been starting Ichiro, Wells might actually be as good of a fantasy option going forward. Both players have hit .261 on the season and, well Ichiro provides better speed, Wells has much more power potential. He has hit 27 HR in the minors before and has six this season in limited at-bats. He has been on a small power surge in the month of July with four home runs and a .500 slugging percentage. Wells won't be lighting up fantasy scoreboards, but he's a solid fantasy option if you need to round out your outfielders.
