Closer Watch

Red Sox -- Though Joel Hanrahan was activated from the disabled list, he'll likely return in a setup capacity to Andrew Bailey, who filled in admirably while he was out. Bailey has saved five games while delivering a 1.46 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 20:4 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 13 appearances. If Bailey can come close to putting up those numbers going forward, he could hang on to ninth inning duties the rest of the way for the Red Sox.

Michael Saunders, OF, SEA – Saunders came back from the DL in a big way Monday, swatting a two-run home run batting out of the leadoff spot. Now over his shoulder injury, Saunders should be slotted near the top of the lineup on an everyday basis with Franklin Gutierrez sidelined with an injury. With three steals and two homers in the 10 games he's played this season, Saunders appears poised to replicate that season's 20-20 campaign. Owned in just 48 percent of CBS leagues, 16 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and 9 percent of ESPN leagues, Saunders should be a useful spare outfielder the rest of the way.
