This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.
The holidays are behind us, and the prices at DraftKings are beginning to more accurately reflect the true values within the player pool.
One area where this sticks out most significantly is in net. The high-end goaltenders are beginning to creep up in price; for example, Braden Holtby and Jonathan Quick are up to $8,400 and $8,300, respectively. When loading them in for an A-plus matchup, finding cap wiggle room is getting tougher and tougher.
Here are value leans to keep an eye on over the next week.
Forwards
C: Alexander Wennberg, Columbus Blue Jackets, $3,400
Although there have been a number of no-shows along the way, Wennberg has 13 points through his past 14 games. The uptick in production opened the door for Ryan Johansen to be moved, and Wennberg is now the No. 1 offensive pivot for Columbus.
It isn't a plus schedule through the end of next week, as the Blue Jackets have a home-and-home series with Carolina, then road dates against the Islanders and Maple Leafs before hosting Colorado. Still, Wennberg's current form and salary don't jive.
Additionally, Wennberg has thrived with linemates Brandon Saad and Scott Hartnell this season – he's sitting at 4.1 goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations with Saad and 3.64 with Hartnell.
W: Jason Zucker, Minnesota Wild, $5,000
It has been a slow go for Zucker for a prolonged stretch, as the winger has just six goals over his past 25 games. However, two of the tallies have come over the last three games, and now Zucker is rolling with Mikko Koivu and Zach Parise on the first line.
Remember, Zucker started the season with 13 points -- five goals -- through the first 15 games of the season, and he currently boasts a target-worthy salary. Also, this is just Zucker's second full season in the league despite seeing partial action from 2011-12 through 2013-14.
The Wild have a nice upcoming schedule, too. A road date in Dallas isn't as imposing without having to worry about plus-minus, and then Minnesota hosts New Jersey, Buffalo and Winnipeg.
Defensemen
Nick Leddy, New York Islanders, $4,000
It was a slow start for Leddy this season, and while his salary is beginning to climb, it's because his production has been excellent of late. The rearguard has a goal and five helpers while averaging two shots per game over his last six outings.
Most importantly, there is no risk of Leddy losing his top offensive looks with Johnny Boychuk out for the foreseeable future with a shoulder injury. His even-strength minutes are on the rise, too.
Schedule-wise, after a road game against Philadelphia on Saturday, the Islanders host the Blue Jackets, Rangers and Canucks; none of those matchups are must-avoid situations right now.
Goaltender
Louis Domingue, Arizona Coyotes, $6,300
With a .930 save percentage, a 2.31 GAA and five wins through nine games this season, Domingue is doing his job to give the Coyotes a chance to win most nights.
His real fantasy value lies in the shot volume he's facing, though. Domingue has played two partial games and is still averaging 30 shots against per outing, and he has a .943 save percentage over his past four starts without a regulation loss.
Arizona has four home games over the next week, with Nashville, Edmonton, Detroit and New Jersey – all teams that sit in the bottom half of the league in goals per game on the road. Nashville and Edmonton rank 28th and 29th, respectively.
