DraftKings NHL: Thursday Values

DraftKings NHL: Thursday Values

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

It's a busy 11-game slate Thursday with a deep player pool, so you won't have to hunt out under-the-radar sleepers to differentiate your lineup(s). Here are a handful of values and low-priced flier to fill out your DraftKings roster Thursday.

GOALIE

Devan Dubnyk, MIN vs. TOR ($7,400): The Maple Leafs blew a 4-0 lead in Winnipeg on Wednesday and will be suiting up for their second road game in consecutive nights. That lines up well for Minnesota, and Dubnyk is plenty rested, having last started Saturday. He also posted a .924 save percentage at home last year, and this is a cushy salary.

CENTER

Tyler Johnson, TAM vs. COL ($5,200): The Avs have allowed 11 goals through three games, while Johnson is coming off a season-high 20:14 of ice time. He's rolling with the No. 1 power-play unit and has found the scoresheet in two of the first three games of the year. This price is ripe for profit.

Paul Stastny, STL at EDM ($5,100): With six points already, Stastny is off to his best start since becoming a Blue. Additionally, and not shockingly, Edmonton continues to be a target-worthy matchup, having allowed a whopping 15 goals through four games. It's worth noting that Stastny could be a chalky skater Thursday, though.

WING

Vladimir Tarasenko, STL at EDM ($7,400): It isn't always advantageous to look at a player's numbers against a particular team, but with four goals, seven points and 18 shots over his past six games against the Oilers, Tarasenko warrants an exception. His salary just isn't high enough to overlook his tremendous production against Edmonton the past two years.

Alexander Radulov, MON vs. ARI ($4,900): After showing up in the goal column last time out, look for the floodgates to open for Radulov. He's also registered three shots in each of his past two games, and the Coyotes have allowed 10 goals through their first two contests.

Ondrej Palat, TAM vs. COL ($4,700): Stapled to Steven Stamkos in all situations, Palat offers cheap exposure to the star pivot, and this is a great matchup. Colorado has surrendered 3.67 goals per game to start the year, and Palat has been strong himself with a goal and two helpers through the first three games of the season.

DEFENSE

Ryan Suter, MIN vs. TOR ($5,300): Last season, Suter exploded out of the gate with 20 points through his first 20 games, and now he sits with a goal and three helpers over the first three games this year. The Leafs enter on the wrong end of back-to-back road games, which sweetens the deal for Suter. He also logs huge minutes (25:35 per game this year), and both shoots and blocks shots at a high rate.

Colton Parayko, STL at EDM (5,100): Through the first four games of the season, Parayko has two assists, seven shots on net and 10 blocked shots. He has multiple avenues to delivering fantasy points, and he's averaging a hefty 3:03 per night with the man advantage. Teeing off against Edmonton (3.75 goals against per game this year) helps, too.
