DraftKings NHL: Tuesday Picks

DraftKings NHL: Tuesday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

The NHL is back with a 12-game slate Tuesday. With such a deep player pool, there are plenty of avenues to differentiating your tournament selections, so honing in on strong values in solid matchups remains an advised approach. Here are a handful of values and low-priced fliers to consider while filling out your DraftKings lineups.

GOALIE

Sergei Bobrovsky, CLM vs. DAL ($7,500): Dallas has lost a number of key cogs from their 2015-16 team, and the Stars currently own the 26th-ranked offense (2.25 goals per game). Bobrovsky, a former Vezina Trophy winner, owns a sterling .954 save percentage and 1.51 GAA over his past six starts, and the Blue Jackets are allowing just 2.43 goals per game. Expect Bobrovsky to have low ownership Tuesday, too.

CENTER

Logan Couture, SJS at ARI ($6,200): Through his past six games, Couture has registered 17 shots on net without scoring a goal. He's averaging 18:05 and 2:59 with the man advantage and should avoid the Coyotes' top defenders Tuesday. With Arizona allowing a league-high 4.13 goals per game, this is a nice spot for Couture to snap his recent goal skid.

Victor Rask, CAR at OTT ($5,700): His salary hasn't caught up to Rask's strong start to the season. He's recorded 10 points (including four goals) and 17 shots through eight games, and continues to receive top offensive minutes in all situations. The deal in even sweeter considering Ottawa is allowing 3.13 goals per game thus far.

WING

James Neal, NAS at COL ($5,300): With a 92.3 PDO and a single goal on 30 shots, the eight-time 20-goal scorer might have opened the floodgates with Saturday's tally. Neal has averaged 3.75 shots and 19:57 of ice time per game this year, including 3:07 with the man advantage. This is a buy-low spot for the high-volume shooter.

Joel Eriksson-Ek, MIN vs. BUF ($3,400): Expected to skate with Eric Staal and Charlie Coyle in a top-six role, Eriksson-Ek is now receiving additional ice time to help him continue his excellent start. The rookie has 7.54 points per 60 minutes at five-on-five thus far -- while that's due for some regression, it also highlights his offensive efficiency. There's upside at a discount with Eriksson-Ek against Buffalo.

Anthony Beauvillier, NYI vs. TB ($2,900): After registering five points through the first five games of the year, Beauvillier has missed the score sheet in three straight outings. However, he's also expected to skate alongside John Tavares on the No. 1 line. At this salary, Beauvillier provides significant cap relief to help you spend up elsewhere, and his role should help him hit value or skyrocket above it.

DEFENSE

Tyson Barrie, COL vs. NAS ($5,200): Dating back to the 2014-15 season, Barrie's 1.74 points per 60 minutes ranks sixth among all defenseman with at least 3,000 minutes. He also highlighted his upside last time out with an assist and eight shots on net. He's starting 59.8 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone and averaging 2:45 of power-play time per game. Nashville is also allowing 3.5 goals per game.

Seth Jones, CLM vs. DAL ($4,600): A high-floor option with some upside, Jones has averaged 23:26 of ice time with 2:40 on the man advantage the past two games. He's registered 12 shots and 14 blocked shots over seven games for the year, which is a nice foundation for his offense to complement. Dallas has allowed 3.25 goals per game, too.
