DraftKings NHL: Monday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

You've got a few days to kill until the Thanksgiving holiday (in the United States, at least). Maybe Monday's seven NHL games, and a little DFS action, can help you get to turkey time. We're just here to try and make your DFS lineup as favorable as possible.

GOALIE

Robin Lehner, BUF vs. CGY ($7,400): Lehner has had a few rough starts in a row, but despite that he still has a .919 save percentage. Neither Buffalo nor Calgary has done much winning recently, but the Sabres are at home, Calgary will be on the second night of a back-to-back, and the Flames are also without Johnny Gaudreau. For a relatively low price, he seems like a good value with a strong chance of getting you a win.

CENTER

Eric Staal, MIN at DAL ($6,000): The Stars are 29th in goals allowed per game, with two goalies that do not inspire confidence. Staal has become Minnesota's top line center, notching 13 points and 50 shots on goal in 17 games. A matchup with Dallas provides Staal with a great opportunity to pad those numbers.

Sam Reinhart, BUF vs CGY ($4,500): Reinhart hasn't quite lived up to being the second overall pick in 2014, but he only just turned 21 so he still has time. He's shown a little promise this year, plus he's getting opportunities to produce. He's been playing more than three minutes a night on the power play, and he's got four points with the extra man. Reinhart won't break the bank, and he faces the Flames, who have the 29th-ranked penalty kill in the league.

WING

Cam Atkinson, CLM vs. COL ($5,400): The Jackets will be on the second night of a back-to-back, but don't be too discouraged by that since the generous Avalanche are on the docket. Atkinson is one of several undervalued Columbus players. He's got 15 points in 16 games, including eight on the power play.

Charlie Coyle, MIN at DAL ($5,300): While Coyle doesn't have quite the track record of his teammate Staal, he's got the same great matchup Monday. Coyle also skated on the Wild's top line, where he's tallied 11 points while seeing a career high in minutes and power-play minutes. You definitely want to try and take advantage of Minnesota's matchup with Dallas, and Coyle is a good place to start.

Viktor Arvidsson, NAS vs. TAM ($4,800): The Lightning have been very good recently, even after losing Steven Stamkos, but Ben Bishop still has a 2.77 GAA and a .909 save percentage. Arvidsson is having a breakout year and already has five goals, five assists, and 53 shots on goal. He's turning into a legitimate top six forward, but his price is still relatively low.

DEFENSE

Zach Werenski, CLM vs. COL ($5,700): Werenski isn't cheap, but he's much cheaper than some of the bigger names on the blue line such as Brent Burns ($8,400). With an assist Sunday, Werenski now has 14 points, and he's already playing huge minutes. The rookie is a tremendously talented player, but you don't have to break the bank to get him.

Oscar Klefbom, EDM vs. CHI ($4,500): Klefbom is a bit of an outside-the-box choice, but the reason is simple. He is playing 2:25 a night on the power play, and the Blackhawks have the worst penalty kill in the NHL. Additionally, Klefbom has blocked 32 shots, so for a pretty cheap price you can grab a player with a decent floor and hope he gets lucky on the power play.
