This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.
Saturday's schedule has been divided into two separate slates, with the three afternoon games (Lightning-Flyers, Jets-Sabres, and Wild-Kings ) being isolated into their own entity. If you want to play the afternoon slate, the games start at 1:00 PM ET. If you want to start at 7:00 PM ET, though, you still have nine games to choose from. That's where this selection of players was culled from.
GOALIE
Tuukka Rask, BOS at FLA ($7,600): Both Boston and Florida have scuffled a bit recently, but the Panthers will be on the second night of a back-to-back here. Florida is also only averaging 2.31 goals per game, one of the lower averages in the league. Rask, meanwhile, has a 2.00 GAA and a .926 save percentage. This should be a low-scoring game, so all Rask will need for a big fantasy day is a win.
CENTER
Logan Couture, SAN vs. DET ($6,100): Detroit is allowing 2.79 goals per game, and that's with the injured Jimmy Howard posting a 1.96 GAA in 17 games played. Without him, the Wings have been much worse. Couture has been his usual self, scoring 12 goals on 108 shots, with six of those goals coming on the power play. Whoever is in net for Detroit, it'll be a good matchup for Couture.
Brock Nelson, NYI at ARI ($4,800): The Coyotes give up the most shots in the league, and since they are playing on back-to-back nights Louis Domingue (3.42 GAA, .895 save percentage) is projected to be in net. That bodes well for Nelson, who is averaging 3.1 fantasy points per game and comes at a relatively cheap price, all things considered.
WING
Leon Draisaitl, EDM at NJD ($6,000): The Devils are ceded 31.5 shots on goal per contest, and those shots have yielded 2.90 goals per game on average. Draisaitl has been the most prolific Oiler this side of Connor McDavid, notching 14 goals and 20 assists in 40 games including eight points in his last eight games, and he's also played over 20 minutes in six of those eight contests.
Alexander Radulov, MON at TOR ($5,600): The Maple Leafs are going to be playing on the second night of a back-to-back, which could mean rookie Antoine Bibeau manning the net. Bibeau has a .927 save percentage in two games this season, but last year in the AHL he only posted a .909 save percentage on the year. He's an unproven commodity, while Radulov has a five-game point streak going, and 29 points total.
Robby Fabbri, STL vs. DAL ($5,400): Fabbri doesn't take a ton of shots, but he's still managed to notch 11 goals and 15 assists. His 16.9 shooting percentage is maybe a little high, but that's not too concerning given that the Stars are allowing three goals per game. Dallas also is 27th in penalty-kill percentage, and Fabbri has eight points with the extra man.
DEFENSE
Dougie Hamilton, CGY vs. VAN ($5,700): The Canucks and Flames are playing a home-and-home, with Calgary handlng the hosting duties Saturday. The Canucks rank 21st in both goals allowed and penalty-kill percentage, while Hamilton has six power-play points and 22 points in total. He also takes a lot of shots for a blueliner, and he's on pace for over 200 this year, which would be a new career high.
Johnny Boychuk, NYI at ARI ($4,400): Both Boychuk and his teammate Nick Leddy are intriguing in this spot. While Boychuk will cost you $100 more, he's averaging more fantasy points per game (2.9 to 2.7) and this matchup probably plays a little more to his strengths. He has taken more shots than Leddy (79 to 66) and he's blocked more shots as well (77 to 57). With all the shots both of these teams give up, a player like Boychuk could really rack up the fantasy points.
