There are six games in the NHL on Friday, and there are plenty of stars in the player pool. Here are a number of recommendations across multiple price ranges to considering while assembling your DraftKings lineups.
GOALIE
Brian Elliott, CGY vs. DET ($8,000): The veteran has found his form and allowed two goals or fewer in five of his past six starts. The result: five wins with a .929 save percentage and 1.99 GAA. The Red Wings have scored just 2.39 goals per game this season, including just 2.36 through 11 games since the All-Star break.
CENTER
Sidney Crosby, PIT vs. TAM ($8,300): With a two-game point drought and just three goals through his past six outings, this is a perfect bounce-back spot for Crosby. His 3.6 points per 60 minutes this season rank second to only teammate Evgeni Malkin, and the Lightning have dealt assets and are dealing with a couple of injuries. Crosby's recent form and salary could keep his ownership down, too.
Victor Rask, CAR vs. ARI ($4,900): The Coyotes are on the wrong end of back-to-back road games after losing in Buffalo on Thursday. Arizona allows the most high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes and the second-most goals per game in the league, and Rask has found his offensive touch again with a four-game point streak.
WING
Corey Perry, ANA vs. TOR ($6,300): Toronto allows scoring chances in bunches and enters the Honda Center on the second leg of a back-to-back set after losing 3-2 in a shootout to Los Angeles on Thursday. Perry has positive regression ahead in the goals column, considering his current 6.4 shooting percentage is less than half of his career mark (13.6) entering the year. The Leafs have also dropped four consecutive games.
Johnny Gaudreau, CGY vs. DET ($6,200): The pint-sized winger has been hit or miss of late, notching six pointless outings through his past 13 games. However, he's also posted four multi-point games during that span, leaving his total contributions at three goals, 14 points and 32 shots. Meanwhile, Detroit has allowed 3.2 goals per road game this season.
Teemu Pulkinen, ARI at CAR ($2,700): The 25-year-old winger skated with Max Domi and Christian Dvorak on Thursday, and Pulkkinen scored a goal and registered three shots on net. Pulkkinen has also scored 157 points through 166 AHL contests, so there's plenty of offensive potential here. The price allows for spending elsewhere, too.
DEFENSE
Alex Pietrangelo, STL at WPG ($5,000): The Jets have allowed the fourth-most goals per game (3.19) and own the third-worst team save percentage (.897) in the league. With Kevin Shattenkirk out of the picture, Pietrangelo logged 27:48 of ice time and quarterbacked the No. 1 power-play unit against Edmonton on Tuesday. Look for him to begin improving on his 1.22 points per 60 minutes and provide an uptick in counting stats with more ice time. This is a manageable salary, too.
T.J. Brodie, CGY vs. DET ($3,800): After two consecutive 40-point seasons, Brodie's 26 points this year are a bit of a letdown. However, he's currently quarterbacking the No. 1 power-play unit and offers significant cap relief. In a soft matchup against Detroit, the 26-year-old defenseman is worth a long look as a source of savings in a Calgary mini stack.
