Bobrovsky made an appearance Saturday against the Senators in relief of starter Curtis McElhinney, who suffered a head injury. The Russian netminder stopped 17 of 18 shot attempts but took the loss on the evening.
Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards didn't dismiss the suggestion that McElhinney suffered a head injury or concussion during Saturday's game, the Columbus Dispatch reports. "Iím careful about saying that right now, but obviously he got hit," Richards said. "He was bent over, and Nicky [Foligno] comes sliding into him full-speed."
Foligno's strong start to the season continued Saturday night when he picked up a goal and added an assist in a 3-2 loss to Ottawa. He now has picked up at least one point in each of Columbus' five games this season.
