The following is an attempt to answer all of your questions about our Commissioner Services. This FAQ is a work in progress - if there is something we have left uncovered, please e-mail us. We'll either respond to you directly, or post a response here on this page.

About Our Services

  1. I'm interested in using RotoWire to provide stats for my fantasy baseball league. How much are you charging for each league?

We're charging $69.99 per league for the season.

  2. Is Paypal the only way I can pay for your league? I don't want to give my credit card online.
  3. You can also pay us over the phone with a credit card. Call us at 608-310-4278. For more info, please see Paying By Check

  4. I'm interested in checking out your service, how can I take a look?
  5. You can go ahead and create a league and check out the features and pay later if you like the service.

  6. Do you have to be a paying RotoWire.com subscriber to use the baseball commissioner service?
  7. No, you don't need a RotoWire.com subscription. You get news for your players as part of the service - but not the full service and features of a subscription to RotoWire.com

  8. Do you offer in-game stats?

Yes, as part of the purchase price you get real-time boxscores for your team. This is in addition to the daily boxscores and standings you receive as well.

  9. Do I have to download any software, or is everything available on the website?

Everything is available on the website. Your league will have it's own set of pages.

  10. Can I see some sample pages?

Yes, you can use the links on the left to view some of the sample pages to see what our software looks like. Hopefully it will give you a good idea of what we have to offer.

Adding Your League

  1. How do I enter my league's moves?

We provide an area for your commissioner to enter all the moves via the web. He/she has total control to choose roster sizes, categories, schedule, etc. You can also do all transactions retroactively, so that you can enter rosters on a Tuesday and compile the standings for the previous weekend.

The Commissioner also has the option to allow individual teams to input their own moves.

  2. What categories will my league be able to use?

You will be able to determine what categories your league uses. Check out our list of categories. You simply highlight those that you wish to use.

  3. Can you play head-to-head or roto style?

You can use either system. You can use a points or categorical system, head-to-head categorical or head-to-head points.

  4. Can league members enter their own transactions?

Yes, the commissioner can allow teams to enter their own transactions.

  5. How many teams can be in my league?

Again, that is entirely up to your league. We can accomodate as many as 30 teams. The cost is $69.99 no matter how many teams you have in your league.

  6. My league doesn't draft until a few weeks from now. Can I enter my team now?

Yes, you can enter your league now and then enter the players after the draft. You can also add or delete teams after you have created the league.

  7. If we have our draft after the season starts can we still get stats for the first week of the season?

Yes, you can set up your league so that you get the stats from the start of the season OR skip the portion of the season you missed.
