Signs with Glory Kickboxing
Light HeavyweightPFL
July 24, 2017
Camozzi stated Monday on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani that he has signed with Glory Kickboxing.
ANALYSIS
Camozzi has suffered three consecutive losses with the UFC, and would have been looking at his release had he attempted to continue with the promotion. Instead, the 30-year-old middleweight will get ahead of the situation and jump ship, moving to a kickboxing promotion where his wrestling and grappling won't be put to use. If he couldn't stay competitive in the UFC at age 30, it's unlikely we see a return to mainstream traditional mixed martial arts down the road.

Has no answers for Trevor Smith at UFC Fight Night 109
Light HeavyweightPFL
May 28, 2017
Camozzi lost to Trevor Smith via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-26) at UFC Fight Night 109 in Stockholm on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Camozzi struggled mightily against Trevor Smith. He could not stop takedowns, and he could do very little when he was stuck on his back. Camozzi has now dropped three bouts in a row and might be released from the promotion for the second time.
Gets new opponent in Stockholm
Light HeavyweightPFL
March 28, 2017
Camozzi will face Trevor Smith in a middleweight matchup at UFC Fight Night 109 in Stockholm, Sweden on May 28.
ANALYSIS
Camozzi has been with the promotion on and off since 2010, but the 30-year-old needs a statement win here after dropping two in a row to Daniel Kelly and Thales Leites. He didn't look impressive in either of those bouts, so Camozzi better show something against an opponent five years his elder if he wants to continue with the UFC into his 30s.
Falls against Dan Kelly
Light HeavyweightPFL
November 26, 2016
Camozzi lost to Dan Kelly via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Melbourne, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Camozzi was determined to stay on the outside and outstrike Kelly. However, his footwork was not good enough. He could avoid Kelly's odd striking assault. Camozzi caught several punches flush across his face. In the second and third rounds, Kelly was able to score takedowns and hold the position for the rest of the round. Camozzi has now lost back-to-back fights after building a three-fight winning streak inside the UFC.
Not competitive in loss to Thales Leites Saturday
Light HeavyweightPFL
August 7, 2016
Camozzi lost to Thales Leites via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:58 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Salt Lake City.
ANALYSIS
Camozzi is a talented mat specialist, but Leites was simply on an entirely other level. Either of the first two frames could have been scored 10-8, and Camozzi's toughness was the only reason that he managed to last as long as he did. He landed 11 total strikes in the 12:58 that the fight lasted. It's hard to win a bout that way. Camozzi's three-fight winning streak entering Saturday appeared to be a total fluke, and Saturday's effort confirmed that. Unless UFC matchmaker Joe Silva hands Camozzi cupcake opponents, he is going to have a hard time moving forward.

May 29, 2016
Camozzi defeated Vitor Miranda via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Sunday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Camozzi is far from a difference maker in the UFC's 185-pound division, but he fought about as well as he possibly could on Sunday. Facing an opponent who had earned three-straight stoppage wins, Camozzi outworked Miranda in every aspect of the fight. He won the total strike battle by a count of 76-49 and he racked up more than a full round's worth of control time. Camozzi has now quietly reeled off three-straight wins, but that is likely to come to an end if the UFC sends a quality opponent his way next time out.
