Signs multi-fight contract with WSOF
HeavyweightPFL
August 24, 2016
Rosholt signed a multi-fight contract with the World Series of Fighting on Wednesday, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Rosholt was released by the UFC in March, despite holding a 6-2 record in the octagon. He was regarded as a boring heavyweight fighter, which could be why he was released. He is uncharacteristic as a heavyweight, most often winning fights by decision. He does not yet have a fight scheduled with his new promotion.

Jared Rosholt: Released by UFC
HeavyweightPFL
March 30, 2016
Rosholt was released by the UFC, Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This development comes a bit over a month after he was defeated in a unanimous decision by Roy Nelson. Despite holding a 6-2 record in the octagon, Rosholt was regarded as one of the most boring fighters in the UFC, which could have been part of the reason the organization decided to let him go. Out of his six wins in the promotion, five went the distance and ended in decision, which is typically uncharacteristic of heavyweight fighters. Given his name recognition, Rosholt should at least see a modest offer from another promotion such as Bellator or WSOF.

February 6, 2016
Rosholt lost to Roy Nelson via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
To give you an idea of how boring Rosholt is to watch, he somehow managed to lull Nelson into a snoozer. Rosholt went for a couple of half-hearted takedown attempts, but he mostly just stood around and did nothing for 15 minutes. It was a really bad look for a guy who has earned a reputation throughout the sport as being quite possibly the most boring fighter in all of MMA. There are plenty of fighters in the UFC's heavyweight division that Rosholt can beat, but his wins are typically so dull that he hasn't raised his stock much despite a career record of 6-2 inside the octagon.

February 5, 2016
Rosholt (+145) is the underdog for his heavyweight fight against Roy Nelson that will take place on Saturday at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Rosholt is 6-1 in the UFC and he is coming off a victory over a big name in Stefan Struve, but his style is painfully boring to watch and he hasn't earned many new fans of late. Rosholt is a quality wrestler, but he brings little else to the table and it appears that a boring decision victory is his only path to a win here. Even as an underdog, he makes for a poor DFS play.
Jared Rosholt: Wins snooze fest over Stefan Struve at UFC 193
HeavyweightPFL
November 14, 2015
Rosholt defeated Stefan Struve via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 193 on Saturday in Melbourne, Australia.
ANALYSIS
A win is a win, but it was a typical dull performance that won't win Rosholt many new fans. He was able to take Struve down in the first two rounds and control the fight on the mat, but he was clearly gassed at the end and spent the majority of the third round running away from Struve. Rosholt is probably going to find himself in the top-10 of the heavyweight division after this fight, but he is notorious for being one of the more boring performers in the company.
Jared Rosholt: Set To Fight Stefan Struve In November
HeavyweightPFL
August 27, 2015
Rosholt will face Stefan Struve at UFC 193 on November 15 in Melbourne, Australia, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Rosholt didn't look great against Tim Johnson earlier this month, but he still was able to pull out a unanimous decision win. The fight against Struve will be the toughest test of his career. If he can pick up a win here, it will cement Rosholt as a contender in the heavyweight division.
