Puts on vintage performance against John Teixeira at Bellator 184
FeatherweightOther
October 6, 2017
Curran defeated John Teixeira via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-26) at Bellator 184 on Friday in Thackerville, Okla.
ANALYSIS
This was a vintage performance for Curran. He was not very active, but he was extremely accurate. When he did land, he landed with power. Teixeira came out looking to push the pace with kicks and combinations. Curran put a stop to that. He easily side-stepped Teixeira's strikes and landed hard counters. He clearly dazed Teixeira on multiple occasions, but Curran never went for the finish. The beauty in Curran's striking game has always been the simplicity, and that was the case once again. In the third round, he changed it up and went to his wrestling to seal the victory. Curran has now won three straight fights since losing to Daniel Weichel in 2015. He is currently 1-1 against Bellator featherweight champion Patricio "Pitbull" Freire.

Pat Curran: Stops Losing Streak Against Emmanuel Sanchez Friday
FeatherweightOther
June 26, 2015
Curran defeated Emmanuel Sanchez by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at Bellator 139 on Friday in Kansas.
ANALYSIS
Curran rebounded from back-to-back losses to Daniel Weichel and Patricio Pitbull, but he still didn't look like the guy who was the former two time Bellator featherweight champion. Curran was a huge favorite (-400), but he still couldn't get the finish Sanchez. The most important thing was picking up the win, but Curran still doesn't look like the same guy we have seen in the past.
