RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Tibau has been suspended by the USADA for two years after failing multiple drug tests this fall, Marc Raimondi of MMA Fighting reports.

Additionally, his Nov. 7 win over Abel Trujillo will be overturned and counted as a loss. The drug Tibau took, called erythropoietin (EPO), is described as a synthetic hormone that stimulates the production of red blood cells, allowing for an increasing in oxygen transport and aerobic power. With an overall record of 33-12, which includes a 17-9 span of 10 years in the UFC, the lightweight veteran will now have to wait two years before competing again.

Tibau has failed an in-competition drug test and could now be facing a suspension, MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Tibau's situation has gone from bad to worse, as he had already been suspended on a provisional basis due to an out-of-competition violation of the UFC's anti-doping policy. He now could be facing a multi-year suspension, and his Nov. 7 submission victory against Abel Trujillo may be in jeopardy. It's been a tough stretch for the 32-year-old, who is one of the winningest fighters in UFC history.
Tibau defeated Abel Trujillo via submission (rear naked choke) at 1:45 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Sao Paulo.

Fantasy Analysis

Tibau got the benefit of a quick stoppage from referee Keith Peterson, but it appeared that he was well on his winning to get the win regardless. Tibau got a quick takedown and he was in total control throughout the brief fight. It is the 13th submission win of Tibau's career as well as his 13th first-round finish. Tibau was quickly submitted by the streaking Tony Ferguson in his last fight in February, but he has won four of his last five overall, all against halfway decent competition. Saturday was Tibau's 17th UFC win, tying him for third all-time with Michael Bisping.
Tibau will face Abel Trujillo in a lightweight bout on Nov. 7 in Brazil, MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Tibau lost his last fight to Tony Ferguson via submission, but won three straight decisions prior to that. The 32-year-old has 44 professional fights under his belt, and is at his strongest on the mat, going 13-2 in bouts that end in submission.
